Pastor Jakob Schumacher began here at Immanuel in January of 2021. His seminary work was done at George Fox Evangelical Seminary, with a year at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He and his wife met at Eastern Washington University where they both received their undergraduate degrees. Their son Henry was born in October of 2017 while Luke was born in May of 2020. Both boys continue to fill their lives with new adventures.
Pastor Jake’s ministry focuses on preaching the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He continually works on distinguishing the difference between Law and Gospel which shapes how we read the Bible and understand the promises of God. He would love to grab coffee with you anytime to chat and get to know you.
Ephesians 4
I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

Purpose:
(The heart of God's call on this congregation)
We are gathered by the Holy Spirit
to share and live out Christ's message
of the Father's love and grace for all.
to share and live out Christ's message
of the Father's love and grace for all.
Guiding Values:
(Values that guide us in responding to God's call)
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
God speaks in scripture, worship, and prayer…
…so we prayerfully listen and trust in God’s Word.
God abundantly provides for our needs and mission…
…so all our resources are gifts to be shared.
God has called and gifted us all…
…so we daily serve with our gifts and share the good news.
